Mission Statement
Since the beginning of sport, man has competed against his fellow man. We, the men of the Appleton Ryder Cup, choose to continue to carry the spirit of competition forward. Henceforth, the epicenter of sport, sportsmanship, and competition shall be Appleton and her local country clubs.
No sacrifice is too great, nor obstacle too insurmountable for the Board of Directors and Captains of the Appleton Ryder Cup team to continue this tradition. It is not unlikely that sometime in the future people will look back at this competition and realize that humanity had peaked. It shall not have peaked because of Elon Musk bringing us back to space nor Trump making America great again. It will have peaked because of the sportsmanship shown and bonds created when we graced the fairways, roughs, bunkers, and greens of local country clubs.
We, the founders and members of the Board of Directors, envision this event growing to include many golfers. We will use this event to foster goodwill between rival country clubs and also provide a beacon of sporting excellence for both young and old golfers, alike. The Appleton Ryder Cup is founded with the intent of remaining as a non-profit organization. Should the potential for economic gain present itself, after paying hefty salaries to the Board of Directors, excess funds will be directed to a local charity. Furthermore, we will do our best to keep funds from the Appleton Ryder Cup in the local economy.
